Like the CSM the DCPM will print up to 3 signatures per check. But it will also print check numbers, your company’s logo and the MICR too! This means that checks can be produced using blank check stock. The advantages are many. The check stock is less expensive than crash printed stock. Blank check stock is less of a theft risk as it isn’t numbered or micro-encoded. You only need one check inventory even if you’re processing payroll for more than one company, since the logos are being printed along with the check data. And, finally, you’ll save time by not having to change which checks are in the printer.
The DCPM does not require any special hardware, but special magnetic toner is necessary. It is only compatible with Laser generated checks.
