How To Manage Large Amounts of Unemployment Claims through your Software

Our firm has the largest number of unemployment claims that it has ever had. Is there an automated way to manage these?

Absolutely. First make sure you indicate which of your applicants are on unemployment. This needs to be directly documented in your staffing software and must be quickly and easily retrievable.

Next, offer jobs to applicants that are on your unemployment by including the unemployment code in your applicant searches. If they refuse an assignment, clearly document the refusal. Be sure to document refusals by some type of coding system so that you can easily retrieve the information with a search. You must include the company, start date, position, rate, etc.

Produce reports from your system that illustrates the offers and refusals in detail so that you can launch a successful appeal.
