Resume Import and Management

Resume retrieval and management is one of the most important functions of most recruiting and staffing firms. The trend has even picked up for many industrial placement situations.

Ultra-Staff contains one of the most powerful resume management modules available. There are three distinct components: retrieval; import and management. The blending of these functions offers a comprehensive suite of tools that makes the task of resume handling simple and effective.

Resumes can be retrieved in a number of ways through Ultra-Staff. A basic and simplified approach is to scour web resources for resumes independent of Ultra-Staff. When a resume is found that is of interest, Ultra-Staff’s Resume Capture can capture the resume and import it into Ultra-Staff. Another way to retrieve a resume is to have Ultra-Staff parse through your Microsoft Outlook® inbox. Resumes found will be automatically imported into Ultra-Staff using Ultra-Staff’s Resume Import Module. Perhaps applicants are applying and sending you resumes from your website. These can be automatically imported into Ultra-Staff with Web Applicant Self Entry. If you use job board services such as CareerBuilder® or Hot Jobs® you can search those resources directly from Ultra-Staff and import selected resumes automatically into Ultra-Staff. Any electronic resume you have can be automatically imported into Ultra-Staff with Ultra-Staff’s Resume Import Module.

Ultra-Staff’s Resume Import Module does more than just import a resume. It creates an applicant record complete with job history, education, skills, positions, and more. In addition it attaches the resume and imports the resume into a searchable format. The resume is then ready to search using Ultra-Staff’s extensive full text search tool. When searching with this tool you can opt to have resume key words found highlighted for easy reference.

Resumes can be imported as branded or blinded. “Branded” automatically places your logo on the resume. “Blinded” excludes all candidate information and replaces it with a candidate identification number. You can maintain multiple resume formats. The resume format selected as the “primary” will be the one automatically selected when you submit resumes utilizing one of Ultra-Staff’s automatic resume submission tools. Resumes can be submitted to prospective employers on an individual or collective basis. Through Ultra-Staff’s strategic search, you can submit a group of eligible resumes to a prospective employer or group of employers.
