With more than half of Americans with smartphones it is obvious that technology continues to grow. Millennials are the only generation who had technology at their fingertips for their entire life. Many people say that Millennials don’t understand the simple basics of the work field. Other generations also state how technology can only help so much and that you need actual skills in order to be successful. Of course, they are right about some of these things that yes you can’t rely 100% on staffing software technology. Millennials do need to be taught on adapting to the work environment. Once this is finalized watch out! Millennials can be a huge impact on the success of your company.

They have the drive to get things done and show initiative. This generation wants to make an impact and be able to build a resume that shows they can handle that challenging project. If you are a company that has not adapted to new trends that make the workplace more exciting you won’t have too many Millennials sticking around. They want fewer restrictions when it comes to hours and the employee handbook. Millennials are looking for a job that is similar to their personal views and values. There needs to be more incentives then good pay and free pop in the break room. Most Millennials aren’t married or have children so they are willing to work hard as long as it is an enjoyable environment. Of course many people especially the Baby Boomers, think that work should be straightforward and not fun. There should not be perks besides the basics. Of course, this does not intrigue Millennials at all. They want to be praised for working overtime and be able to have a say in important projects.

Here at Automated Business Designs, the company is filled with a mix of generations from the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and finally to the Millennials. With such a diverse group, employees can learn a lot from each other to help the company succeed in selling staffing software. The older generations can help the younger ones how to handle tough situations they haven’t been in before and the younger generations can share fresh ideas to keep the company afloat against competitors. ABD is constantly staying up to date with the newest staffing software technology making it convenient for customers to stay with the newest trends. Since Millennials have new ideas to bring to the table it is important to give them a role or a task where they can show off their talents. Let them take charge in that team building activity and use their ideas because most likely they are ideas you have not used before.

Millennials are new to the workforce therefore they have new ideas and perspectives on how to go about accomplishing tasks. They are known to be driven and have a powerful mindset when it comes to fresh thinking. Older generations need to give the new generation a chance to spread their wings to see what they are actually capable of achieving.
